A scandent shrub; branchlets glabrous.
Leaves oblong, narrowly obovate or elliptic, (6.6-)8.2–10.7(–12.1) cm long, (2.9-)3.3–4.7(–5.9) cm broad, apex acuminate or shortly caudate, base cuneate, glabrous on both surfaces; petioles 4–12(–15) mm long; stipules sheath within petiole, (2-)3–5 mm long.
Inflorescence umbellately arranged in head clusters, 8–11 mm in diam., terminal, peduncles 6–15(–20) mm long, pubescent or subpubescent. Flowers white, (2-)3–4 mm long, polygamo-dioecious; bisexual flowers dimorphic, heterostyles; calyx truncate; corolla glabrous outside, throat hairy, 4–5-lobed; stamens included or exserted, filaments short or long, anthers oblong; style 2-lobed, exserted or included; male flowers without rudimentary style; ovary 4-celled.
Fruits compound, 5–7 mm long, 5-l6 mm in diam., oranged-red at maturity.

分布

台灣 : in broad-leaved forests at low elevations in western parts of the island.
世界 : Malaysia, Southern China to the Ryukyus and the Philippines.
